Zane Forshee, Seattle Guitar Orchestra and Choroloco in Concert
Lines, Motives, Textures and Transformations An evening of acoustic guitar music featuring two CD releases, a Choros band, and two outstanding soloists: Zane Forshee and Mark Hilliard Wilson on Monday, March 18 2019 at the Rendezvouss Jewel BoxTheatre. Show starts at 7 pm.
The Seattle Guitar Orchestra is proud to present Fulbright scholar and noted guitarist Zane Forshee in concert celebrating the release of his latest recording of Spanish works based on his research in Iberia entitled Valenciano. Forshees performance will feature works from his latest release as well as arrangements by Thelonius Monk, Bob Dlyan, and Neil Young among others.
In addition, the evening celebrates the debut recording of the Seattle Guitar Orchestras CD, Pilgrimages, featuring music composed and arranged by Mark Hilliard Wilson during the course of his travels along the Camino de Santiago. Their program will explore the story and music behind Brazilian Choros and American Ragtime, featuring special guest and local Choro experts Stuart Zobel (Choroloco and the Fremont Philharmonic) Brandi Ledferd and Naoyuki Sawada as Choroloco
