Documentary / 2018 / Swtizerland / Various languages w Eng ST / 90 min Free Admission
It is often easier to focus on the headlines, statistics, and rhetoric about immigrants than on the people themselves. Drawing inspiration from his personal encounter with a refugee child during World War II, Swiss director Markus Imhoof makes the global phenomenon of thousands of people fleeing to Europe real and tangible through graphic footage of refugee rescues and gripping interviews with asylum seekers. Viewer Discretion advised due to disturbing stories and images.
This film is also being shown at the PMA in Portland Mar 16 at 12:30 PM
Tickets at the door will be $12 and $10 and will be sold the day of the event one half hour before the film start time subject to availability.
