2019 Los Angeles Valley College All-Steinway Celebration!
The LAVC Music Department and LAVC Foundation present a musical benefit with performances by the Valley Symphony Orchestra, The LAVC Wind Ensemble, The LAVC Chamber Singers, Philharmonic Choir, and the Richard Kahn Commercial Music Ensemble. This is a celebration of Valley College attaining our recent status of All-Steinway School. Proceeds will benefit the LAVC Steinway Piano Maintenance Fund.
Works include: Hadyn Concerto for Keyboard and Violin, featuring LAVC student Gevork Gorgoyan, violin, and LAVC Faculty member Yih-Mei Hu, piano. The LAVC Wind Ensemble will perform works related to the Ursula K. LeGuin novel "The Left Hand of Darkness" - Theme from Star Trek the Motion Picture, Journey Through Orion, Winter Dreams. Other exciting performances TBA!
General Admission Ticket: $20 ($25 at-the-door)
Admission for ONE (1) person to Benefit Concert Only. Concert begins at 7:00pm in the LAVC Mainstage Theater.
General Admission Plus+One Ticket: $60
Admission for ONE (1) person to VIP Reception at 5:30p (see description below) and Benefit Concert at 7:00p, plus a donation to help a deserving student attend the concert.
VIP Admission Ticket: $100
Admission for TWO (2) persons to the benefit concert, a donation to help a deserving student attend the concert, AND an invitation to join us for a pre-show Happy Hour Reception with catered hors d'oeuvres, fine wine, the opportunity to mingle with LAVC talent, staff, and organizers and special musical performances on our beautiful new Steinway Grand Piano! VIP Reception begins at 5:30p in the Music Department Recital Hall (Room 106); benefit concert begins at 7:00p in the Mainstage Theater.
