Merrimack;Why I Wake Early
New England Classical Singers - 50th Anniversary
Join us on Sunday March 3rd, 3PM at Christ Church, 33 Central Street, Andover, Ma for the premier performance of Ronald Perera's Merrimack, with text by Henry Thoreau. Also experience the expressive vocal and instrumental soundscapes in Ronald Perera's Why I Wake Early, based on the poems of recently deceased Mary Oliver. Both pieces performed with chorus accompanied by string quartet and piano under the baton of Artistic Director David Hodgkins.
Don't masa the pre-concert lecture by the composer starting at 2PM.
