Dave Stamey returns to the Historic Elgin Community Club!
There's no end for ballads and tales of the West if you are Dave Stamey, and in the midst of his career, the Western Music Association (WMA) has honored this exceptional singer/songwriter/entertainer and musician as their newest member of the Hall of Fame on November 12th, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM.
Western music may have left the Country music genre with the end of the silver screen cowboy crooners, but that hasn't curtailed this real deal cowboy from romancing historic or contemporary characters, or horses and western landscapes along the way. Dave is authentic, as is his music. It's not hard to figure out that his songwriting is as dependable as he is, and it's bursting with excitement, passion, history and of course a few bandits! Over a two-decade career, this self-published singer/songwriter (Horsecamp Music) has released 11 CDs.
Stamey, originally from Montana and now living on his ranch in California, is one of the most popular and most requested Western and Cowboy Folk entertainers working today! Cowboys and Indians Magazine calls Dave the "Charlie Russell of Western Music". This music has been called by some "Western Americana". There's still a strong niche for music that is enjoyed by all audiences who live or love to experience the west.
