Gallery Concerts -- A Green Concert: Natural Wonders for the Harpsichord
Gallery Concerts final concert for the 05-06 season. Described by the Seattle Weekly as "one of the country's top baroque musicians," keyboardist and environmentalist Jillon Stoppels Dupree juxtaposes her favorite harpsichord pieces about nature with inspiring readings on environmental stewardship and the beauty of the earth. Reading from classical and contemporary sources will be Carla Valentine Pryne, founding director of Earth Ministry. Works by Byrd, Sweelinck, Couperin and Rameau will be featured.
