The Fabulous Esquires In Concert
Like that Big Band sound? Like Swing? Then you will LOVE the Fabulous Esquires!!
The Esquires are a swinging 14-piece orchestra who play hits by the Big Band masters, from "Sun Valley Jump" to "Take the A Train" to "Say Si Si" and many, many more. The concert features vocalists and dancers helping to keep this iconic musical art form alive - and kickin'!
The Fabulous Esquires is the performance arm of the nonprofit Esquire Music Foundation - established in 1967 (at the urging of Stan Kenton) to, "...teach young musicians how to play the authentic dance music of 'The Big Band Era', as well as bringing the swing music of the '30s and '40s to life in performances...".
This concert is brought to you by People's Place and Palace in San Pedro, in association with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
