Cal Scott and Richard Moore welcome Portland voice talent and singer-songwriter Corky Coreson to the next Songwriter Circle at the newly remodeled Vault at Gastro Mania, formerly OConnors, Monday, February 4 at 7:00pm.  This series is sponsored by Hearing Health of Raleigh Hills.

The Circle regulars with Corky will be Cal Scott and Richard Moore, who have fine-tuned their acoustic chops together and individually over the past forty-some years.

For nearly 50 years Corky Coreson has been behind a microphone. His familiar baritone voice has been heard on radio and TV commercials all around the country. Parallel to his voice-over career he has been writing, recording, and performing music. His 25 years as a radio DJ afforded him the opportunity to form some great relationships. Having a mentor like Songwriting Hall of Famer, the late Mickey Newbury, provided invaluable lessons in writing music with heart and meaning.

In addition to producing commercial jingles over the years (Look for the sign, youre in Les Schwab country) Corky released three singles in the country market over the years and wrote and performed several original songs in the 1981 movie St Helens. Most recently he released his first solo album In The Moment, showcasing his big voice, his touching lyrics, and his sometimes bent sense of humor.

Corkys experience as a DJ, stand up comic, and master of ceremonies, gives him a natural confidence on stage. His performance motto is I know Im gonna have a great time; the audience can join me if they want to!

Tickets are $15 from or at the door.  Once the show is sold out, a few tickets may be available at the door, at the discretion of the venue.
