Another Window is an annual cabaret featuring a diversity of talent and genres including music, spoken word, drag and more, produced by Neworld Theatre. The premise for this show is that Vancouver is just a big enough place that most of our cultural audiences are segmented into disciplines, genres and social identities. This event is designed to knock down these walls and build community in the process.
This January, Neworld is partnering with the Frank Theatre to bring a queer, intersectional focus to the evening's curation. Programming includes "blind dates," where artists from different cultures and disciplines are paired together to create original performances.
We would like to acknowledge that this event takes place on the Unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
ACCESSIBILITY: Progress Lab 1422's main floor (Studio, Rumpus Room, kitchen) is wheelchair accessible, however the bathroom does not accommodate motorized wheelchairs. For further accessibility info, please see the PL1422 website.
Washrooms are gender neutral.
If you are attending the event and require ASL interpretation, please message the Frank Theatre or email Operations Manager and Associate Producer Anais West at anais@thefranktheatre.com.
