Concert: Jim Bean & Steve Sullwold
Jim Bean and Steve Sullwold, both long time residents of the SouthCoast, have been singing together for over 30 years, sharing maritime songs, gospel, shape note hymns and original works with their audiences.
As members of the Beans, they have appeared locally at the Working Waterfront Festival, the New Bedford Folk Festival, the Mystic Sea Music Festival, the NEFFA Festival, aboard the Schooner Ernestina Morrisey, and as far afield as Washington DC, for the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. They provide their songs with varied traditional accompaniments on guitar, banjo, mandolin and concertina, and add rich vocal harmonies, delighting listeners everywhere.
