Iconic Canadian Folk / Roots Band Re-unites
A unique chance to see Bob Bossin, Calvin Cairns, Marie-Lynn Hammond, Ben Mink and Dennis Nichol together again.

40 years after they began, Stringband is re-uniting for the first time in a decade. Bob Bossin (Tugboats, Show Us the Length, Ya Wanna Marry Me?) and Marie-Lynn Hammond (I Don't Sleep With Strangers Anymore, All the Horses Running) are joined by two of Canada's best fiddlers, Ben Mink (maybe the only Canadian ever credited on a Rolling Stones album) and Victoria's own Clavin Cairns. Hear Dief Will Be the Chief Again, The Maple Leaf Dog and other songs old and new, played by five of the country's most creative and quirky musicians, together again just this once.
"From the early 70s until the mid 80s, Stringband wrote about, performed across, and encapsulated Canada. For artists, they proved it could be done without moving south, without capitulating to mainstream radio taste. For audiences, they proved that we were interesting; that the folks around us had stories full of passion, heroism, tragedy and beauty.
