Long Island-born film critic and author Michael Atkinson presents David Cronenberg's controversial adaptation of J.G. Ballard's legendary novel about a TV director (James Spader) whose life is transformed by a serious car accident that propels him into an underground sub-culture of scarred, omnisexual, celebrity-obsessed, car-crash victims whose lives revolve around car accidents and the raw sexual energy
