Sing Wassail
A workshop to learn, sing and celebrate traditional folk wassail songs.
Coming together at the coldest time of the year to learn traditional and contemporary arrangements of Wassail songs in gorgeous warming harmony.
Wassailing is an ancient West country tradition to welcome in a new apple growing year and encourage a good cider harvest.
Songs will be taught by two local and experienced choir leaders, Polly Wilde who has run The Island Folk Choir for the last 10 years and Renee Berhout, who runs the beautiful Orchard choir. All songs will be taught by ear and the workshop is suitable for singers of all levels.
There will be an opportunity to perform the songs at Feed Bristol's Wassail in early February for those who would like to.
