Lake County High Schools Performing Arts Department is happy to announce their production of the enchanting musical Into the Woods under the support of Community Banks of Colorado as the Title Sponsor. Premier Sponsors include REMAX Aspen Leaf Realty, Independence Realty, Centennial Real Estate, the Elks Lodge #236, Treeline Kitchen, and the City of Leadville. Contributing Sponsors include City on a Hill, S&A Excavating, Leadville Arts Coalition, the Lions Club, and Leadville Colorado and Southern Railroad. Under the Direction of Artistic Director Scott Carroll, performances will take place April 26-28, 2019 in the beautiful Lake County High School Performing Arts Center.

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. This ensemble cast includes Troy Baker, Bailey Booth, Molly Coleman, Allie Collins, Finbar Cremin, Taylor Duel, Elijah Durand, Mae Finken, Jude Hill, Violet Hill, Ryden Hofer, Ben Lowry, Alex Maes, Annie McFee, Michelle Medina, Hime Minato, Eli Missey, Justyne Pereida, Moriah Perkins, Dominka Piech, Stephanie Reveles, Maddison Riquetti, Tal Sheleg, Sami Smeltzer, and Edgar Tarango.

Scott Carroll, who will serve as the Stage Director, heads the production and design team. Celesta Cairns will serve as the Musical Director. Neva Sunday will serve as the Assistant Stage Director and MacKenzie Reigel will serve as the Production Stage Manager. Aislyn Marshall will serve as the Production Manager. Brett Finley will serve as the Stage Management Mentor. Melissa Stennes and Cleo Finken will serve as Assistant Stage Managers. Devin Riggs and Lisa Berman will serve as Co-Choreographers. Melissa Hill will serve as the Volunteer Coordinator. Alex Duran will serve as the Assistant Musical Director. The design team includes Carl Schaefer, Todd Howe, Ashleigh Baker, Jason Allen, and Kimmie Neff. Many parent and community volunteers have worked hard to create the world of Into the Woods. Our running crew includes Merritt Baker, Alizarin Colitz, Makayla Garza, Clara Kirr, Avery Milne, Willow Renner, and Obed Tarango. We will also welcome back the incredible musicians who make up the Lake County High School Performing Arts Orchestra.
