On Friday, December 14, at 7:00 p.m., the Santa Monica High School Choral Music department will present the 14th annual "Motus Perpetuus," a beautiful and truly unique Winter Choral Concert of Perpetual Motion. During this concert, students sing and move throughout Barnum Hall, and applause is held until after the very last piece, so the music's motion can flow and continue without interruption. The result is a stunning concert experience! Choir alumni are invited to sing the Hallelujah Chorus and the Hymn of Praise on stage.
Due to the specific nature of this concert and its transitions from song to song without applause breaks in between, this concert is most appropriate for an audience age 10 and over. If you must bring a younger child with you, it is recommended that you choose a seat toward the back close to an aisle, in order to more easily access the exits, should your child need a break.

(If you purchase early enough, you have the option to have Brown Paper Tickets mail physical tickets out to you at no cost, however, you will not receive a ticket link via email for printing or displaying tickets on your phone when you choose this option.)

Online ticketing will close at 12:00PM, THURSDAY Dec. 13th. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door when the box office opens at 6:00pm. This is a very popular concert within our community, we encourage you to reserve your seats in advance and arrive early for seating before the concert begins promptly at 7PM. Doors will open at 6:30pm.
VALIDATED PARKING at the Civic Center flat lot and structure on 4th St between Olympic Dr and Pico. From the Civic, walk across 4th St and enter campus through the 4th St Gate (bring your parking ticket to receive a validated ticket upon entry into Barnum or after the concert)
