*Trevor Vichas is coming special from South Lake Tahoe to bless Transit::Born with his exceptional track selection and skills! From the early 90s until the mid-2000s, Trevor was a fixture (with many residencies) in the Seattle & Portland house music scene, and he currently maintains a residency on Chicago House FM. With the classic Chicago and Detroit house sound, Trevors mixes have been featured on House Gangster, the Jacking Beatz Collective, the HAWTCast, & more. Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, and DJ Heather have all played the tracks that Trevor has produced, and his original & remix work has been released on over 20 labels. His unique sound makes you want to jump up, and get out on the floor! https://soundcloud.com/trevorvichas https://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/trevorvichas
*Sol has been a fixture of the PNW house music scene since its inception in the mid-nineties. He has brought his signature mix of deep soulful jackin' house music to clubs and warehouse parties up and down the coast. Sol's funky, soulful, and energetic mixing style fills dance floors, bringing crowds of even the most discerning dance music fans together under one groove. Sols energy and smile is synonymous with the uplifting vibe that his fans have come to expect! We're celebrating Sol's Birthday this evening too.
*AC Lewis is the beloved Bar Manager @ Transit::Substation! Importantly, he was a big part of our inspiration to launch the monthly event Transit:: (house music, art, and dancing). AC is a very talented, veteran DJ (a Seattle fixture in the underground electronic music scene since the late 90s). He has had many years of really good DJ residencies in Seattle, played at Winter Music Conference in Miami (and the DEMF in Detroit), and many other renowned events... So without even saying, we're very honored to have him bless the tables and generate the Transit launch night sound.
*Miss Min.D has made her home in the Seattle music scene in the early 2000's. In addition to playing records, she has been involved in the co-founding of a few successful production companies. Her current love for breaks has found her current residency at Fraktured Sundays at Kremwerk, with many others in years' past. Turntables are her expertise. She undoubtedly has remarkable track selection, style, and energy in her house sets, paired with her skills, of many years of expertise.
*Kyle Douglas is a Chicago-born DJ, who has been collecting (and spinning) vinyl avidly; since the late 90s. With a solid 20-years of DJing experience, Kyle confidently plays all genres of House, and loves to get down with the crowd. His sound always has a full heartbeat, is chunky, organic, melodic, and constantly moving, all without losing that soulfulness that House music provides. And Kyle is very intimate with his tracks, understanding them from start to finish. Hes held residencies in NYC, played festivals in California, at the best venues in SF, and now books many gigs in Seattle, WA, where he currently resides.
*Pappa T has been in the Seattle house music scene for over twenty five years! His love of house music began in the early 80s with DJs like Jack Master n Farley and Ralphi Rosario from Chicago. The New York scene also influenced him with the likes of the Masters at Work, Frankie Feliciano, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, and Roger Sanchez, are just a few that cultivated his intense love of the music. In the mid-90s he was introduced to the SF scene with J-Jay, Julius Papp, David Harness, Doc Martin, Mark Farina, and DJ Nobel to name a few. Promoting was his first love, creating the party, but now being the maestro is what he loves to do. Pappa T has played at infamous events and venues, and with local favorites in Seattle like Wesley Holmes, Jason Tokita, Brian Lyons, Jeromy Nail, Jon Lee, Erin Oconner, Ramiro Guiterrez, Jason Justice, Altee Treasure, Sean Majors, Joey Webb, and many others. Pappa always says Its a culture, and not a fad. And hopefully you will experience that on the dance floor! Cmon Seattle!
