Prayer Book Society Anglican Way Conference 2019
The  2019 conference will  take place at John's Church in Savannah GA using also the Green Meldrim House and Cranmer Hall and will run from midday on the  24th - 26th October

At a time when the Communion worldwide is under unparalleled stress as preparations advance towards the Lambeth 2020 this Conference will explore the vital questions of just what comprises Classical Anglicanism and the role of the Prayer Book in answering and sustaining this understanding.

What does it mean for Anglicans to say we belong to the one holy, catholic and apostolic church?  What are the limits of Anglicanism?

There is expected to be a particular focus on the works of  Richard Hooker and others who helped to define the tradition with side themes including
the impact of the Prayer Book on Literature and Preaching
the architecture and music of classical Anglicanism
and Anglicanism's role in shaping Western culture and society

Those already expected to be presenting and speaking include
Bishop Fitzsimons Allison,
Professors:
Torrance Kirby, McGill,
Brad Littlejohn, Patrick Henry
Samuel Bray, Notre Dame,
Oliver and Joan O'Donovan, Edinburgh,
Jesse Billett, Toronto,
Neil Robertson,  Kings College Halifax.
Roberta Bayer, Patrick Henry
Richard Mammana, New Haven
The Revd. Fr. Gavin Dunbar, PBS President,
Canon Alistair Macdonald-Radcliff, Editor of the Anglican Way
and others from the Society
