Strictly Seattle
Celebrating its 12th season, the festival culminates in a performance of new work by some of the most dynamic dance makers in Seattle, and two outstanding New Yorkers. (See below for the full line up). This year, Velocity hosts dancers from all over the region and country including Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont and Wyoming. Since July 7th, students have been spending up to 8 hours a day dancing and focusing on their art in a supportive, enriching environment. At the end of three weeks of hard work, the dancers will perform July 25 & 26, 2008 in a super-charged performance presented at Broadway Performance Hall. The six new dances are still underway, but suffice it to say that the gifted choreographers will be sure to engage audiences with what they whip up with the dancers in a mere three weeks.
