Jazz Meets Hip Hop!
This month we spotlight the Jazz and Hip-Hop interactions in an attempt to fuse African-American music of the past with a newly dominant form of the present, paying tribute to and reinvigorating the former while expanding the horizons of the latter.
A crossroads of modal spoken words where boundaries are stretched and new grounds broken!
ABOUT THE SERIES, "JAZZ @ the cell" ~Conceptually inspired by Ornette Coleman's existential quests, "The Shape of Jazz to Come" and the seminal "Tomorrow is the Question!"~
Incubated by Nancy Manocherian @ the cell - A Twenty First Century Salon in the heart of Chelsea.
This new series hopes to ignite the inner vision of how to help the jazz community, trademarked "Tranemiles Presents..."
