Renowned outdoor photographer Jay Goodrich will conduct a 7 hour workshop and shoot. Come listen to Jay talk about his experiences shooting, he will show some of his images and then take you out into the field to get hours of hands-on practice.
This is a heck of a good deal photogs! Jay's usual workshop prices for multi-day adventures range from $1,500 to almost $7,000 ! Including a Patagonia Tour led by Art Wolfe with Jay as assistant instructor for almost $9,000 ! I'm telling ya - heck of a good deal here !
Jay will also offer a Q & A time so ask away! Angles, textures, what to look for, what to avoid. Want to know how to get published? Want to know how and where to sell your images for a profit? Ask away - this is going to be a great workshop with a lecture AND hands on (in the field) shooting with Jay. 7 hours total !
Join adventure photo journalist Jay Goodrich for a one-day workshop focusing on the "Photograph - Visual Strategies for Image Creation." This class will include a half-day presentation featuring many of Jay's amazing images and experiences as he teaches you about the design concepts he uses in creating a photograph. The talk will connect how all of these ideals function with the mechanics of the camera and how that interconnects with the personality that typically becomes a photographer. We will then head out into the field for the second half of the day to put everything you learned into a real-world shooting scenario.
One of Jay's greatest gifts is his ability to share his great passion for photography with others.
With a degree in architecture and over a decade as a full-time professional photographer, Jay continues to explore, expand and enhance his photographic art. He is driven and always willing to try new concepts and methods.
Goodrich is prolific, taking pictures wherever and whenever he can with whatever camera he has on hand.
"I'm not following guidelines. I much prefer to think of my photographs as moments in time, and let the scene dictate to me what it should be. I want to share my world vision with others because the reality of life is that no one sees this place exactly the same."
Jay's clients have included Fortune 500 companies, trade publications, magazines and books, graphic designers, architects, builders, commercial printers and many others. His recent clients include Bike, Dirt Rag, National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, Powder, The Sierra Club and many more.
Jay writes regular article submissions for Outdoor Photographer magazine and their blog, authors a quarterly column for PHOTOGRAPH magazine, and is a contributing photographer to Bike and Powder magazines.
***** This is an intermediate to advanced workshop. Please know the buttons and functions on your camera and how to use them so that Jay can spend the time teaching about the art form and technical aspects of landscape photography.
