Liz Story, Bob Baker & Louis Colaiannia Solo Piano Concert
LIZ STORY'S musical style of angular harmonies defies traditional description and has inspired countless musicians.
She studied at the Juilliard School of Music, and later studied with jazz legend Stanford Gold, as well as Dick Grove Music Workshops in Studio City California. Jazz great Bill Evans remains a major inspiration to her and she has recorded a number of his compositions.
Liz's breakthrough came when Windham Hill Records founder, Will Ackerman, heard a tape of her original compositions and signed her to record her debut album in 1983, Solid Colors.
With a dozen albums to her credit, her works are fused with a wide range of styles embracing jazz, folk, pop, and impressionistic music, crossing many musical genres and painting a spectacular musical panorama.
BOB "CHAZ" BAKER has accompanied many soloists over the years, from Classical, Jazz, Rock and Roll, New Age Piano, R&B, Indie, Pop, Country, Sacred Music & Hymns, Gospel and Contemporary Christian, and a favorite of his Show Tunes!
He has also recently created a recording of improvisational pieces and is planning a December First CD Release and Annual Holiday Concert at Hampden Hall at the Englewood Civic Center.
LOUIS COLAIANNIA'S performances have been called stunning in their power and beauty, and his music has been called: an explosion of sounds and melodies. He has an incredible ability to mesmerize his audience wherever he is performing. Louis is a multi-talented artist and a gifted composer, conductor, pianist and keyboardist.
His musical compositions challenge traditional musical definitions by incorporating classical, jazz, new-age and contemporary genres.
Dr. Colaiannia's unique and energetic performance style have attracted an enthusiastic following all over the world.
