REEFER MADNESS, THE MUSICAL
Doctuh Mistuh Productions,  who brought you the Texas Premiere of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, is back with another irreverent musical for the masses of Austin, REEFER MADNESS, THE MUSICAL.   Based on the original 1936 film of the same name, this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex and violence. REEFER MADNESS is a highly stylized and contains satirical political commentary, as well as a score that ranges from Broadway Showstoppers to 30's Swing to Dirty Rock. The show is filled with adult humor, religious parody, and drug use, as well as suggested violence and sexual explicitness.

The production is directed by Michael McKelvey with costumes by Glenda Barnes, sets by Joe Carpenter, lights by Sam Chesney, sound by Joel Mercado-See, and a cast to die for featuring Joey Banks, Sarah Marie Curry, Nathan Brockett, Kristi Brawner, Jose Villarreal, Libby Dees-Detling, Paul Koudouris, Chase Brewer, David Ponton, Kimberly Wilson, Brian Loyosa, Kaitlyn Moise, Sarah Konkel, Lisa Wright & Stephen Mercantel.
