Documentary Filmmaker Production: coaching & structure to get your movie made! (February 13th - March 20th)
Wednesdays on February 13th through March 20th | 6:30pm - 9:30pm
(attendance at all six sessions required)

Experience Level: All

Limited to 10 participants

The challenge with filmmaking can often be as simple as isolation in creating the work and realizing your vision, but also in the complex structural planning and organizing that encompasses the business side of production. This course provides a solid foundation of support, structure, resources and space to workshop your film with peers while also learning from their experiences and process. The course will be facilitated by a seasoned documentary filmmaker who is well versed in ways to structure organization while gleaning local community resources, but also teaching from a place that deeply values the great assets that lay within group think and community building through peer relations in order to achieve success as an independent artist.

The course will be focused on:

Processing and workshopping ideas
Brainstorming resources and tools
Goal setting and supportive accountability
Encouragement and overall making a lasting impact in your skill sets while making significant leaps towards the realization of your documentary film
The course will meet every week for 6 weeks with a total of 6 sessions that are tiered to help you reach specific aims with your project.
