Hedrick Smith's "The People vs the Politicians"
Fix Democracy First and the Meaningful Movies Project presents:

"The People vs the Politicians" - Documentary by Hedrick Smith

Join us for the very special event to watch and discuss the new film by Hedrick Smith and Northern Lights Productions.

For every flaw in our politics  dark money, vote suppression, gerrymandering, Citizens United, Mega-Donors, hyper-partisanship  grassroots reformers are putting solutions to work at the state level. This is not a story of left vs right, Republicans vs Democrats. Its a story of the People vs the Politicians, of We the People rising up against fat cats and entrenched power  and winning.

The film features several successful people-powered efforts from around the country, including a segment on Washington State's Initiative 735 grassroots campaign led by WAmend, that made Washington the 18th state to call for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to overturn decisions like Citizens United.
