Bryant and Brown is an old-time band consisting of
Mike Bryant, Paul Brown,Terri McMurray and Marcia
Bryant. Mike and Marcia of Roane County Tennessee are regular performers at the Laurel and have played old-time music since the late 1970s. Their longtime friends Paul and Terri, who live in Winston Salem, North Carolina, have also played for over 40 years, playing with and learning directly from folks
including Tommy Jarrell and Benton Flippen. Individually, Mike and Paul are considered two of the most accomplished contemporary old-time musicians by their peers, each adapting the music to their own playing styles while maintaining the integrity of the musics tradition. Together they create an exceptionally fine traditional sound.
