Benjamin Britten's brilliant comedy explores a small town's search to award a young upstanding woman of purity. When none can be found, a male recipient is nominated instead.
Albert Herring receives the award and things go topsy turvy when he is unwittingly exposed to the seedier side of life during a post party frenzy.
Conducted by GMOF Artistic Director Bruce Stasyna, this chamber opera features members of the nationally acclaimed GMOF Emerging Artist program, some of the brightest stars on the cusp of important careers in the American opera scene.
