Singing our History in the City of Ships
Alison Lee Freeman presents our rich tradition of stories, music and sea chanteys Wednesdays June, July and August at 7pm in the Curtis Room of the Annex.
Charlie Ipcar, who is best known for turning the words of 19th century sailor-poets into wonderful songs about ships outward bound, ocean perils, pirates, and female sailors will perform in place of Alison Lee Freeman on August 6, 2008.
Debra Cowan, an exceptional interpreter of traditional and contemporary songs, who uses her rich voice to communicate the story within the song will perform in place of Alison Lee Freeman on August 20, 2008.
