Brooklyn Youth Chorus Benefit Concert with Kronos Quartet
On Tuesday, May 7, 2013 the Grammy award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus unites with Kronos Quartet to present an 8:00 pm concert at Roulette (509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn). The program features BYC commissions, including a world-premiere by Julia Wolfe and works by Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond) and co-commissions with Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) by Aleksandra Vrebalov, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire) and Bryce Dessner (The National, Clogs). Champagne & dessert with the artists follows the performance. The concert is the highlight of BYC's Gala evening which begins at the Green Building with cocktails and supper. Concert tickets are $45.
