The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) and Central Colorado Conservancy are teaming up once again to bring two evenings of film from Mountainfilm on Tour. Mountainfilm is a dynamic organization with a festival of films, people, stories and ideas that celebrates indomitable spirit, educates and inspires audiences, and motivates individuals and communities to advance solutions for a livable world.
Ticket proceeds will be used to support community outdoor and environmental education programs, Envision Chaffee County Initiatives, and land conservation through these two organizations.
There are two unique Mountainfilm showings in Chaffee County this year with different films each night, plus membership incentives for those who are new to join either GARNA or the Conservancy. The October 25 showing will include a great line-up of films at the Salida High School Auditorium, at 26 Jones Avenue, Salida, CO.The October 26 showing will include the different films at the Ivy Ballroom in the Surf Hotel, at 1028 Wave Street, Buena Vista, CO. Doors open at 6:00 pm both nights and films start at 7:00 pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Ivy Ballroom in the Surf Hotel in Buena Vista on October 26. The Wesley and Rose will be open for dinner before and after the film showing on October 26.
