The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton Presents: "Words and Music"
Words can inform, entertain, and move us, and when those words are
combined with inspired musical ideas, a sum greater than the separate parts is the result. This concert will feature some of the great texts from Biblical Psalms, to Shakespeare, to contemporary poets, set to music by the great composers from Palestrina, to Brahms, to George Shearing. A special feature will be John Coriglianos inspired setting of Dylan Thomass retrospective poem Fern Hill.
