Heart Song Music Workshop with Ana Hernandez
HeartSong: Building Communities of Practice

Whether your church is small or large, HeartSong is a workshop to help you deepen your relationships, find/build your collective voice,  and enable you to enter the flow of the larger community, HeartSong is the workshop that will enable you to learn to play together and be transformed. Say Yes! to the Spirit and deepen your community of practice, through the shared creation of sound and silence. We will listen to and notice the spirit within, reclaim the joy of group learning by rote, utilize repetition, and engage our oft ignored ability to harmonize on the spot.

With simple chants and global songs, well move from the meditation cushion to the streets for a day of transformation and deep fun. Sing your way to your sweetest identity, individually and collectively, each person open to sharing more of who they are becoming, and confident that the spiritual work they do to become their best selves will be honored and be integrated into the larger community. There will be singing, drumming, movement, and group improvisation (Yes You Can!),  all of which will leave your community with more tools to invite, encourage, and include absolutely everyone.

Lunch is included.

About Ana

Ana is a composer/arranger, workshop facilitator, author, and mischief
maker. She works with people to create beautiful liturgies in many
different styles; from early music to contemplative, to drummy and
participatory. She facilitates meaningful conversations using the Art of
Hosting modalities. Lately she's been working with groups to practice
listening at deeper levels, dismantle racism, and to remind people they
are beloved of God.

Ana has made eight recordings and is the author of: The Sacred Art of
Chant: Preparing to Practice. She also helps people to find their voices
and use sound as a way to get and stay integrated. Her retreats and
workshops are filled with laughter, expanding comfort zones, and tunes
that stick, so when the world is an unholy mess, you'll have the right
tool to accompany you as you walk along the way.

"Life is beautiful, but shorter than you think. Show love now."
