Vocal solos and ensembles by four longtime students of Sam Sheffer, a well-known voice teacher, choral director, and vocal coach. Sheffer has made Charleston his home since the early years of the Spoleto Festival when he served as assistant director to Gian Carlo Menotti. He will accompany the ensemble as they perform opera arias, standards, and art songs. Composers include Mozart, Donizetti, Purcell, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Crabtree, Quilter, Finzi, Gershwin, and Monk.
