Gypsy Soul
The distinctive duo GYPSY SOUL began 21 years ago in Scotland, UK. It was there that Roman Morykit (UK) and Cilette Swann (Canada/USA) made a promise to each other to make both their lives and their living from their art. Their soulful blend of Roots Rock, Blues and Jazz helps inform both their message and sound which is at once, universal and intimate; familiar yet otherworldly.
Over the past two decades, the duo has had a Top 40 hit with Silent Tears and has won both the International Acoustic Music Awards and The Independent Music Awards. They've opened for The Doobie Brothers and Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians and been featured on compilations with Shawn Colvin, Keb Mo and Aimee Mann. In addition to earning over 1.5 million downloads, their songs have been placed in hit TV shows and motion pictures such as Providence, Felicity, 90210, Roswell, After Sex and Quick Sand among others.
