Katie Curley: Songs for Harp

On the heels of her latest record release with country band Bourbon Express, singer-songwriter and harpist Katie Curley has written a new collection of songs arranged for voice and harp. For this project, she has dived into a personal wellspring of stirring and recurring dreams, nightmares, and daydreams. In addition to new originals, her intimate solo performance includes selections from her recent work with Solo Sounds, produced by Eric Roscoe Ambel, including Solo Harp: Leonard Cohen's Songs of Love and Hate and Solo Harp: Johnny Cash, At Folsom Prison.

Originally from Home, WA, Katie studied classical harp in The Tacoma Youth Symphony and at SMU in Dallas, TX. She formed NYC country band Bourbon Express in 2011 with husband, guitarist Brendan Curley. In 2012, she composed music to Claude McKay's poem "Subway Wind" and played harp on a moving subway for a short film of the same name by award-winning filmmaker Heather Spilkin. In addition to several self-released records, she has recorded four solo harp albums on the Solo Sounds label.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS AT 6:00PM.
