Join us for our season opening concert series in October!
This concert, "The Interrelation Between Nature and Life": Dvorak's Eighth features two major works:
The Clarinet Concerto No. 1 in f, Op. 73 by Carl Maria von Weber. The symphony is joined by soloist William Blayney for this performance of Weber's 1811 composition, considered by many to be a gem of the clarinet's repertoire.
Dvorak's cheerful and optimistic Symphony No. 8 in G, Op. 88, composed in 1889, and premiered in Prague on February 2, 1890.
