Movement for Sound: 5 artists respond to the music of Michael Wall
Dance Up Close/East Bay, SADC's curated performance series, returns with an evening of modern dance performed to the music of composer Michael Wall. A long time collaborator of Utah-based choreographer Molly Heller and the Bay Area's Jenny Stulberg and Lauren Simpson, Wall is a beloved accompanist and composer who has devoted his artistic career to creating music for modern dancers. Heller, Chianese and Soleyn premiere new pieces commissioned for the event alongside repertory by Simpson/Stulberg and Lawton.
