Todd Thibaud - Solo Acoustic House Concert
On the evening of Saturday, September 15th, I'll be performing a solo acoustic concert at the home of my good friend, Gail Erdos, in Belmont, MA. This will be my fourth show at Gails venue. Its a special place, and I'm thrilled to be coming back. This is no ordinary house concert. Gail has a room/venue on her property specifically designed for music, complete with professional quality sound. The evening will begin at 7:00pm with a social gathering in Gail's home. Gail will provide hors d'oeuvres and snacks, but guests are asked to bring their own beverage of choice. The show itself will begin around 7:30pm. I usually divide the concert into two sets giving people the opportunity to move around, refresh their drinks, and mingle a bit in between. After the performance we can all gather once again for more refreshments and socializing. These evenings tend to be a lot of fun, and a great way to share some music together.
I really enjoy performing solo acoustic, especially in house concert settings. I find the intimate vibe makes for a much more personal experience than is possible in most typical shows, and it allows for a true mutual dialogue between myself and the audience. Im currently making plans to record a new album later this fall, so I have several new songs to share with you. Ill also be playing old favorites, and songs from my catalog that I dont get to perform as often as Id like to; all in the way they were originally written, with just myself and my guitar. I sincerely hope that you can make it.
