Ex Reverie and Burd Ellen - Dreaming Bread and Skyrie Stanes After Party Gig
The Tales of The Taibhsear collective are hosting an after party for the Dreaming Bread & Skyrie Stanes celebration and symposium.
Two great acts are coming together for the first time to perform songs inspired by powerful woman in Scottish folk lore.
Burd Ellen is a new solo project from Debbie Armour. Working with pianist Lucy Duncan (Luki) and multi instrumentalist Gayle Brogan They explore women's narrative in traditional song.
Ex Reverie brought a folk-tinged variety of heavy psychedelic rock from Philadelphia to link up with a rollicking group of Glaswegian musicians and record a concept album about legendary Sottish witch Isobel Gowdie.
The group melds a love of influences from Incredible String Band to early Alice Cooper. Guitar riffs and lilting vocals entwine to tell the story of a raw, ancient magic.
