From the Ashes is a live show with desk segments, pre-recorded sketches and interviews about national and local Asheville politics. In times of Washington shit sandwiches, we bring you information and ways to laugh about it, act on it and not eat it.
Hosted by Marlene Thompson, an improv vet and writer, she's a comedian living here in Asheville. So many comedians have so many opinions. Come see one more.
There will be a live show at the Actor's Center of Asheville in Black Mountain September 14 & 15, but we'll also be making videos of every segment to post to YouTube, Funny or Die and all the places you'd find those types of things. If we could post it on your fridge like a third grade drawing, we would.
Sketches will feature local actors from The Actor's Center of Asheville, improvisers from Asheville Improv Collective and Blacklist Improv, plus writers and directors from the hit webseries Transplanting!
