Music of Aaron Copland
The Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra presents this concert featuring one of America's most beloved composers.
This performance showcases the genius of Aaron Copland, the versatility of his multiple influences which includes some jazz from the Clarinet Concert which he composed for Benny Goodman. Evgeni Karelin, principal clarinetist of the Odysseus orchestra will perform this dazzling piece.
Aaron Copland wrote for movies as well and the orchestra will perform his "Music for the Movies". His influence of Folk music will be on display with his "Old American Songs" which includes songs like Simple Gifts.
Last but not least, his fascination with latin music and latin rhythms will be on display with his "Three Latin American Sketches"
A concert not to be missed.
