Dorian Woodruff - "Welcome Home: Everybody Has A Story"

When I was a kid, I always wanted to see the inside of other folks apartments and homes. What kind of furniture did they have? What kind of art? What color did they paint the walls? What kind of wallpaper?  Through my prying and being slightly pushy, much to the dismay of my grandmother, I finagled my way in to see most of them. I learned their stories. I also discovered who had a country homes, who could cook, who was friendly, and who wasnt. As I grew older a marvelous thing happened.  I became friends with these treasures.
2016 MAC Award Nominee for Male Vocalist, Dorian Woodruff is a versatile cabaret and jazz singer, director, and writer. He has performed in clubs internationally with stops in Las Vegas, Nashville, London, Paris, and Berlin.

In New York, he has appeared at Joes Pub, Feinsteins 54 Below, Dont Tell Mama, and his successful shows I Believe in Love and Standard Time, at the Metropolitan Room, in Chicago at Davenports and The Jazz Cave at the Nashville Jazz Workshop.  This fall, he will appear on the opening night of the New York Cabaret Convention in Lincoln Centers Rose Hall.

"Many songwriters of today would be lucky to have their more thoughtful material rendered by such a thoughtful and caring vocalist."  Rob Lester, Cabaret Scenes

"Dorian Woodruff's gorgeous sound will have just warmed your ears sufficiently that you won't need to put your fuzzy hat on when you leave his show." Rob Lester, Cabaret Scenes

"Dorian was born to sing."  Paul Rolnick, Composer
