The Zelos Quartet
The Ladies Musical Club of Seattle proudly presents a special free concert by The Zelos Quartet, an exceptional saxophone quartet from California. This versatile and engaging quartet has a repertoire that includes everything from Bach transcriptions to recently composed pieces, a dynamic and engaging group with a beautiful sound.
The Zelos are the proud winners of the Ladies Musical Club's 2018 Frances Walton Competition, open to classical musicians ages 20-35 from the nineteen Western United States. The Competition winners are all top-tier musicians and are given cash prizes, a live broadcast on Classical KING-FM, and engage in three week-long outreach tours across Washington State, providing free school visits and free public concerts.
The Puget Sound tour this year is September 9th-14th, ending in a live broadcast on KING-FM on Sean MacLeans Northwest Focus Live on the evening of the 14th. This appearance will be the kick-off event of that statewide tour.
