PSALMS and MOTETS

Psalms always lend themselves to beautiful music, and this concert will feature sacred works from the Renaissance to the present day. Our program will include the first movement (Psalm 108 v2 and Psalm 100) of Leonard Bernsteins Chichester Psalms; Psalm 96, Cantate Domino, by Jan Sweelinck; Psalm 100 (O Be Joyful) by John Rutter; Salmo 150 by Ernani Aguair; and musical settings of three psalms (23, 47and 92) by Canadian composer Srul Irving Glick, all with piano accompaniment.

Les psaumes se prêtent toujours à une belle mise en musique, comme le montrera ce concert duvres sacrées allant de la Renaissance à nos jours.
