Alaska Solarfest will be June 21, 22 & 23 in Talkeetna Alaska on a beautiful farm off Birch Creek Boulevard. Three days of world class music and renewable energy workshops.
The Mat Su Borough recycling center currently cannot recycle glass. In an effort recycle most of our waste, there will be no glass beer bottles allowed. We encourage you to stop at the Denali Brewing Company for growlers and cans of their award winning beer. You can get your growler deposit on the way out of the festival. There will be absolutely no alcohol for sale on the promises so it is a BYOB.
Dogs will not be allowed in the festival. It's necessary in a town with a larger dog population then humans.
We will be providing amenities such as toilets and water. We discourage small, one time use, disposable water bottles. We will providing potable water for drinking and selling water in 1-gallon containers. Don't forget your water bottles!
There will be vendors selling food, clothing and awesome whatnot. It is highly recommended that you bring food, water and camping supplies if you decide to camp.
This is a RAIN OR SHINE event. It's Alaska, be prepared!
We will have a large bonfire for everyone. No open fires in the camping area.
We stress that all of those who plan to attend should exercise good judgment, good behavior and general respect for the people putting on the event, our neighbors, your neighbor next to you and most of all the earth that we live on. Please pick up after yourself and encourage those around you to do so as well.
