North Saanich Flavour Trail Festival - GALA Farm to Table Dinner
The GALA Farm to Table celebration is the popular launch of the North Saanich Flavour Trail Festival and an evening of culinary delights featuring a gorgeous 4-course meal from the festivals farmers and chefs. Come savour the flavours of the region and the season in the gorgeous vineyards of Deep Cove Winery, accompanied by the sultry jazz sounds of local chanteuse Kristina Helene.
The evening will be a sheer delight and a definite sold out event!

SALAD Glorious greens and edible flowers sing in this fresh-from-the-garden salad, featuring the floral and peppery notes of Snowdon Houses newest culinary addition, their stunning Nasturtium Vinegar. Chef/Farmer: Laura Waters, Snowdon Farm and Gourmet Gifts
APPETIZER Hoi Jaw Tod, a delightfully unusual Thai wrap made from ground pork, fresh crushed garlic, cilantro, oyster sauce, green onions, eggs and flour, wrapped in dried bean sheets and steamed. Heirloom Anneth Beans with garlic and olive oil. A traditional Montenegrin dish made with original Romano-type beans brought half a century ago over from Montenegro by Anneth Farm co-owner Stans father. The bean is now proprietary to Anneth Farm and the only place in the region/country you will taste it!! The beans are steamed until soft and buttery, and tossed with garlic (not a little!), salt and pepper. Chef/Farmer: Stan and Chris Vuksic, Anneth Farm
Fresh tomato salad with basil and pine nuts. In Montenegro, everyone has a garden, no matter how little land they have. There is no such thing as an unripe tomato purchased from a large grocery store. When you taste the tomatoes and basil of this dish, you may never be able to buy a supermarket tomato again.
