Liz Longley - house concert - Aug 22 - Seattle (Greenwood)
Enjoy an intimate setting house concert where the interest is clearly on the music.
Homeowners provide food and beverage prior to the show.
Doors open and food served (included): 6:30pm
Music: 7:30-9:30pm (with a 20 min intermission).
Liz Longley's singing never fails to thrill and enthrall. Her voice and tone pours out like clean, crystalline water. Often compared to Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole and Nanci Griffith (all artists she's supported live). Longley has won three different song-writing contests: the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Competition, the International Acoustic Music Awards, and the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. AllMusic says her most recent recording "Weightless" "uses a meld of pop Americana that established her reputation and grafts on indie and rock & roll". Recent JazzVox performer Chris Ayer suggested Liz would be a great fit for JazzVox - so glad to add her to the lineup!
