Robert Bekkers Quintet
Dutch guitarist Robert Bekkers will be performing with a quintet on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Marion Music Hall in Marion, Massachusetts from 1-3 pm. Dr. Bekker earned his Bachelor and Master of Music Degree at the Conservatory of Maastricht. During his seven years there he won a scholarship to study contemporary music with Angelo Gilardino in Italy. After his initial education Robert developed his career as a soloist and chamber musician playing with orchestras, choirs, and chamber musicians. Several years later he was given opportunity to further his education through an invitation by visionary artist Eliot Fisk, with whom he completed his Musical Arts Doctoral degree in classical guitar at the New England Conservatory.
