Please join us for a day of celebration of 10 years of Granite City Roller Derby!

From our beginnings in 2008 as the Aberdeen Aces on the Toys-R-Us car park, to the formation of the fiery red Granite City Roller Girls and on to our current incarnation as the fearsome teal Granite City Roller Derby that we are today - the past 10 years has certainly been an adventure!

To celebrate, we are holding a whole day and night extravaganza so come along and take part in a day of all things roller derby, for every level of skater and non-skater. In the evening, get your glad rags on to tread the red carpet at our glittering Masquerade Ball, which will see us dancing into the wee hours.

Day Event - 11.30am, Beach Leisure Centre, Sea Beach, Aberdeen:

We invite skaters to pick their level, and join us for 25 minute games (15 minutes will be skated according to current rule set, and last 10 minutes will include some fun "whimsy jams".

NB.
On 1st October, you will be allocated your team, the likely "whimsy jams" to expect, and information about team colours and themes.

Schedule (Game times TBC)
Welcome and Olympic Style Skate Out for all teams, NSOs and Refs

Game 1: Mins Passed WFTDA gender policy (<5 games)

Game 2: Mins Passed OTA (Open to All)(<5 games)

Game 3: "Of Fights and Men" - Advanced OTA (Open To All)

Game 4: "Highland Fling" for Advanced WFTDA gender policy

Finale: Off Skates Anniversary Orcadian Strip the Willow

Evening Event - Masquerade Ball

7pm - midnight, Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Beach Boulevard, Aberdeen

Tickets include Red carpet, Champagne Reception, 3-course Dinner, Ceilidh and Disco
