Makuta at The Spot on Kirk
MAKUTA is a 4-member group (Doug, Jane, Aleata, and Rose) based out of Brooklyn, New York currently signed to Timbalands joint venture ole-Bluestone, with distribution through ole.
Conservatory trained, and raised in the church, MAKUTA has built an eclectic musical genre all their own. Utilizing a definitive bloodline blend of vocal harmonies, and incorporating a myriad of instruments (harp, cello, violin, viola, piano, guitar), MAKUTA continues to chart their own course. As songwriters, composers, and producers, MAKUTA has credits with a wide variety of artists and projects (including Paul Simon, upright bass icon Ron Carter, and others).
