Join Voci for an exploration of the power of romantic desire, invoking Aphrodite - the goddess of love, beauty and fertility and celebrating the many passions and emotions that she evokes.
Featuring flirtatious English madrigals, ardent German partsongs, steamy duets from Italian and French opera, provocative twentieth-century settings of Shakespeare texts by Britten, Finzi, Kodaly, and Vaughan-Williams, and sensual selections from Gwyneth Walker's "Songs for Women's Voices" and Paul Carey's "Cantigas de Amigo."
